Domain flagged as spam on VirusTotal – not listed in your DB

Hello,

I’m reaching out because our domain was flagged as “spam” on VirusTotal, and the only listed source is StopForumSpam.

However, after checking your database, we confirmed that:
- Our domain is not listed
- Our server IP is not listed
- Our email address is not listed

We also attempted to complete the removal form at topforumspam.com/removal, but received the following message:

> "Neither your IP or email address is listed in our database. We suggest you use a different username, and/or contact the forum admin where you were denied and request that they allow you to register."

We are a legally registered business in Spain and we do not send spam or allow bots on our website. We use server-side honeypot-based protection for all forms and scan the site regularly for vulnerabilities.

It appears to be a false positive, and since we cannot submit a removal request due to the lack of listing, we’d greatly appreciate any guidance or support you can provide.

Thank you very much for your time and the work you do.

I've tested the IP that you used to signup on SFS with & can confirm that it is NOT within the SFS Database. Likewise with the email address + sub-domain for your IP hostname.

The SFS admin is 'pedigree', and he will need to look at your situation to decide what is going on. You will probably need to give a fuller description of the VirusTotal report to him.

Re: Domain flagged as spam on VirusTotal – not listed in your DB

Thank you, Alex, for the clarification — and thank you, @pedigree, for offering to look into it.

I’ve just sent you a private message with all the details regarding our domain and the false positive on VirusTotal.

Really appreciate your help and the work you do to keep the internet clean.
