Yahoo's CAPTCHA broken

A 35% success rate doesn't sound like much, but it's still enough to net you a ton of accounts.

Re: Yahoo's CAPTCHA broken

That's better than one out of three... sounds plenty big enough to me.

*sighs, starts filling sandbags*

Re: Yahoo's CAPTCHA broken

best defence is basicly logic questions with a single awnser that only humans can understand. Eg:

"Red is blue, true or false?" when you fill in false the awnser is correct and your not a spambot. Basicly you make a large list of these questions and just put a random one on your registration page. Should at least stop bot's from entering.

Re: Yahoo's CAPTCHA broken

I use the mod that yannick is talking about, however I will shy away from questions with an "or" statement, or questions with yes or no in them. I think it wont be long before bots crack that one with at least a 50/50 shot of getting in. I prefer questions like "how many tires does a four wheeler have?" and my latest one "what color is a redheads hair?" Not one bot has gotten through since I turned it on!
