Rash of Spammers?
I was going through my memberlist and noticed that there were a lot of new registrations beginning with the letter "L" this month that had incomprehensible usernames. They all had a mail.com email address. I started tracing them with Neo-Trace and every one of them originated in Yonkers New York. None of them was listed on stopforumspam. com or a Google Search. There were 51 usernames that had these identical characteristics.
Is this unusual? Why would they register so many times when one time would get them into a forum?

I had 28 just today. I banned a google bot 3 days ago and had nothing but made up for it today.

Re: Rash of Spammers?
I'm new here, but over the last 2 days we've had around 10 spammers sign up at our vbulletin forum.
These are our first spammers. They include the various beijboy and beijmanli accounts, merry00235 and vbulletinboy.
Not happy, Jan.
