Database of spam URLs?
Howdy! Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm curious if much has been done around trying to build up a blocklist of the spam links that spammers post. I see that there have been old threads about doing this manually, but I also noticed that when looking at evidence of spammers, the URLs (or domains, at least) get parsed out and shown separately. A savvy spammer can generate unique email addresses and rotate through a large list of IPs (though clearly many spammers are not so savvy), but the whole goal is to get lots of link to their spam website, so it's tempting to try to extract out domains and keep a list of those appearing in spam. I'm tempted to play around with this and see if it's effective in stopping more spam.
Note that I'm just generally curious about whether this is an avenue others have had luck with / something I should pursue; this is not any sort of complaint that it's not a native feature of this great free service!

Re: Database of spam URLs?
Regex for *merch.* from a similar gmail would be a good start. So many <insertband>merch sites
Got to be stolen CCs buying these domains the number of they they fire up.
I'm just disappointed there isn't an easily done gmail filter noticing 'perhaps if this freshly created gmail acct is getting activation emails from x forums per second. Perhaps it's up to no good. If they can work out I got an email from my dentist and ask if I want to create an event with the right header image. They can do that surely.
