Yahoo mail server IPs on the SFS?

Hey,

I'm importing SFS blocklist into firewall rules for our server to drop all the spammers before even reaching the website.

Few weeks ago I noticed we cannot send mail to Yahoo users anymore. Before you ask - yep, people still use it :-)

Anyway, I figured out this happened because someone started adding Yahoo mail server IPs to SFS in mid-April, and we blocked those in the firewall. For example:
https://www.stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/98.136.96.77
https://www.stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/67.195.228.111
https://www.stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/67.195.204.77
https://www.stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/98.136.96.75
etc... doznes of different IPs used by Yahoo MTA.

There's no way users can spam forums from Yahoo Mail IP addresses, so someone must be piping the emails somewhere and reporting them as forum spam? I mean, even things like bounced emails get submitted as "evidence":

Surely email spam can come from Yahoo mail servers (emails sent by Yahoo mail users), but should a mail provider IP addresses be included in this blocklist? I presume no. Found a moderator reply that apears to agree with me https://www.stopforumspam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9012

Thoughts?

Thanks.  They're all been removed, and the submitter has had their key banned

I agree. Companies and organizations that are tied to government entities such as SpamHaus are better equipped to handle and punish email spammers. SpamHaus can even lead to formal investigations and litigation and extradition that's how trustworthy they've proven to be.
