How to get an API Key?

I have some trouble with Spammer in my Forum.
I would like to use stopforumspam mybb plugin, but I cant sign up on this web.
What should I do?

Hi Nacto, welcome to SFS.

(forgive me if I sound bored - having to repeat this message is getting boring for me) (not your fault)

You do NOT need an API key to use the DB, only to report spammers. At this moment, the latter (reporting) has been disabled for new users, due to abuse. Apparently, there is zero information to explain this at the point.

You can get the Mybb here:
http://www.stopforumspam.com/contributions , I don' think you have to log in, but if you log in, (sign in),
and you had to , to post here,.. then you should also be able to get a API key here:
http://www.stopforumspam.com/signup
However, ok  you can not, at this time., but note what it says,

Due to some issues with abuse, new keys are offline for the time being. Sorry about that

You do not need an key in order to use the API to protect your site. You only need a key to submit data.

You DO NOT NEED,  a API key, to protect your site.  This means, the MYBB plugin, should work with out the API key,.

I don't remember which post off hand, nor specificaly what anti spam plug in was being used , but some of the
"confusion" was because the plugging dose, have a place, where one is asked to enter the API key, so it can use some sort of "automatic" reporting,..I guess,..I can see where that would lead to problems,  so any way, the response, had been
to just leave that blank, and the pluggin should still work,..

Hello, I'm not sure how to get an API key with the formular. There is only a field for the name and the website, but when accepting the rules an error message appears: Fehlerhafte Eingabe des Sicherungscodes (Incorrect input of the security code). I don't see any possibility for inserting a security code.
