Introduction
I thought I'd say hello, introduce myself, and see where things go.
My name is Mike, and I'm one of the owner/operators of BotScout.com. We perform a similar service to StopForumSpam, as well as offering a few other things. Like SFS, we have plugins for most of the major message boards and some sample generic code that people can use. We have two APIs available, a simple string-based one and an XML-based one also.
I had two main reasons for saying hello, and although I don't know how I'll be received, I'll hope for the best.
One reason was to see if the owner here would be interested in doing some "cross-pollination" in terms of spammer names, IPs, and emails. We have a number of honeypots collecting this kind of info similar (I imagine) to the way StopForumSpam probably does it. We notice you have some bots listed that we don't and vice-versa.
We'd be glad to start exchanging lists daily or weekly or whatever so we both have more complete lists of bots. If you're interested, please let me know.
The other reason I had is this: I noticed some discussion here about creating a distributed bot trapping or bot collection system. We have a system like this in beta test right now and would be glad to work with you so SFS can enhance, duplicate, and/or deploy one as well.
You can see a bit of a description here:

I'd welcome comments or suggestions as to how we could make it better or more useful. If anyone would like to use the BotScout service separately or in tandem with SFS to catch and reject even more bots, please do. I see there are two plugins already that use both services (one for phpBB and one from MysteryCFM).
Finally, if you have any questions or want to send me hate mail or death threats you can do that on the BotScout message board. I don't want to clutter this board, but if people have questions here I'll be glad to try and answer them.
Thanks for reading this far. I hadn't meant to ramble on this long.
